- Have hands on experience for the setup, configuration, installation and maintenance of physical and virtual servers
- Have proven experience on proactively manage, maintain, monitor, patch, and problem resolution of servers both physical and virtual
- Have hands on experience on Installation, configuration and maintenance of new and/or upgraded operating systems, applications, network and client protocols and software, mainframe access and emulation, remote access, other software like Oracle DB, including applications
- Have experience on taking backup and restoring of files, programs, snapshots, logs, databases, and email servers
- Have experience on using different system monitoring tools
- Have proven experience for the setup, configuration, installation and maintenance of antiviruses, ftp server and file server both on Windows and Unix flavor servers
- Hands on experience in configuring Linux based servers, upgrade OS, and apply maintenance and security patches.
- Hands on experience in the usage of virtualization tools like VMware ESXi/OVM for new/existing servers
- Job Requirements:
Educational Qualification
- University degree with major in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years’ experience as Server Administrator in the Linux/Unix environment
Additional Requirements
- Able to work outside of normal business hours as needed for deployments and maintenance windows
- Ability to develop and follow procedures
- Experience with configuring VMs/Network Elements/AD/Firewall/Load balancer is a plus.
- Experience with infrastructure security and remediation a plus.
- Knowledge of PCI-DSS compliance is a plus.
Certification
- Additional to the above skills, it is preferred if the applicant has server administration related industry certificates on Windows Server, Linux OS, Server/Storage Hardware from different vendors
NOTE:The duties and responsibilities of the Server Administrator shall not be limited to the above lists but may include related tasks as required by the IT Manager.
