Job Description

The Armauer Hansen Research Institute (AHRI) was founded in 1970 through the initiative of the Norwegian and Swedish Save the Children organizations seconded by the Ministry of Health of Ethiopia. The Institute got its name from the Norwegian physician, Gerhard Henrik Armauer Hansen, who first described the leprosy bacillus (Mycobacterium leprae). AHRI is a biomedical research institute that works in developing tools for prevention, control and treatment of mycobacterium and other diseases of public healthy importance through applied and basic biomedical research and training.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer III is being accountable to the Partnership, Planning & Grant Management Director; and perform day to day activities and other related activities.

1.      Aim of job title

·         Preparation of physical and financial plan and work on achievement of plan versus performance through monitoring and evaluation.

2.      Job title activities and result

 Result 1- Develop and follow up of physical and financial plan

·         Action plan preparation on physical and financial plan

·         Follow up annual/quarter plan implementation beside work on plan versus performance report.

·         Monitoring, evaluation of plan, budget and performance of the institution and design problem identification and recommendation.

·         Preparation of budget and follow up of utilization as request process budget realignment.

Result 2- Conduct operational research on areas that improve plan versus performance

·         Mentoring departments on planning and budget utilization.

·         Train staffs during development of institutional short term or long term plans. 

Job Requirements

EducationBA in Economics, Management, Business Management, Geography, Social Science

Experience: 4 years of experience in Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation
