Humedicae.V , founded and headquarter based in Kaufbeuren in Germany, is an International NGO registered inEthiopia in February 2010 and re-registered on July 8, 2019 with registry No. 1605 as foreign Charity. It aims to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats needy people and children, and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives by improving their health, education and economic opportunities. In times of acute crisis, we also mobilize rapid assistance to help people recover from the effects of war, conflict, and natural disasters. It aims to help people, who suffer hardship due to disasters or structural poverty. Besides its focus on emergency and disaster relief humedica also engages in relief supply assistance, family sponsorships as well as in long-term development projects. So far, it has provided humanitarian assistance in more than 90 countries.

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Reporting to the country Director and with dotted line relationships to German Head Quarter IPP Desk, the Program Manager (PM) is one of the senior positions and member of management team in the Ethiopia Country Office-Addis Ababa. The PM advises, guides and informs the country director, oversees, communicates and supports the projects in the country office.The position involves providing overall leadership and management with accountability and responsibility for the country projects including actively participating and assisting in strategic, programmatic, finance, operations and other management functions planning and implementation. Key functions in this role include developing and implementing projects for country programs, monitoring and evaluation, overseeing projects reporting, HR and financial issues, helping the country office in building strategic partnerships and resourcing the projects work to ensure sustainability. Develops required project implementation and follow up guidelines and measure project staff performance and quality of work in line with accepted to date standards. 

INTERVIEW AND WRITTEN EXAM: Only Qualified applicants will be invited for written exam and interview. 

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:  Annual contractual Bases with possibility of extension. 

SALARY: Gross salary of Birr 17,000 to 19,000 per month

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATION:     

  • BSC/BA or MSC/MA degree in sociology, Psychology, economics, project management and development management from recognized University.

 REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 10years for BSC/BA or 5 years for MSC /MA holders who have at least 5 years related experience in program and project management.
  • Strong skills and experience in program development and project proposal writing and implementation, monitoring and evaluation, including all kinds of report preparation proficiency is mandatory.
  • Practical experience in action and strategic planning is desirable.
  • Project finance management and good deal of project staff leadership skill.
  • Experience in humanitarian aid works and vulnerable group micro enterprise development, children education promotion and life skill training and health projects is desirable
  • Proven communication and networking skill is essential
  • A strong personal commitment to the values, principles and organization strategy of humedica.
  • Experience in quality management is essential.
  • Strong sense of personal integrity and team work.
  • Excellent skill in using computer applications like MS word, excel, access including computerized statistical programs.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:   

  • Fluency and good command of English
