Job Description

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), on behalf of the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowermentof Women (UNWOMEN), is seeking to hire a Programme Specialist- National Planning and Budgeting who to lead the roll out and implementation of the “Transformative Financing for Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment’’ programme and related programmes in the national planning impact area. S/he will exercise overall responsibility for planning, implementing, and managing UN Women interventions under his/her portfolio. She/he works in close collaboration with the programme and operations team, UN Women HQ staff, Government

Job Requirements

Qualification and experience
Master’s degree or equivalent in social sciences, human rights, gender/women’s studies, international development.
Interested applicants must have at least 5 years of progressively responsible work experience at the national or international level in design, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of development projects; technical experience in National Planning and Budgeting as well as coordinating and liaising with government agencies and/or donors and leading/managing a team.

 

Contract type
Fixed Term Appointment (NOC) – *Fixed Term Appointment is a staff contractual modality.
Duration
One year (renewable).
