Job Description
The Position: The International Potato Center – Ethiopia (CIP) seeks to recruit Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist, Research Officer/ Agronomist and Driver positions for the DFID-funded Development and Delivery of Biofortified Crops at Scale (DDBIO) project. General: CIP is a not-for-profit international agricultural research-for-development organization with a focus on potato, sweetpotato and Andean roots and tubers. Its science is carried out by the 15 research centers that are members of the CGIAR Consortium in collaboration with hundreds of partner organizations.
The M&E specialist will contribute to development of effective results-based M&E system, ensuring that knowledge generation, management and use is effectively built into DDBIO project cycle. S/he will play a major role in project monitoring, periodic data collection and analysis, devise mechanisms and lead the process for effective dissemination, utilization and documentation of learning. S/he actively takes part in the design as well as the execution of baseline, midterm and final evaluations of project, which will be implemented in Oromia and SNNP Regions. In addition, s/he works very closely with CIP Ethiopia Country Office, CIP Regional M&E team and partners to support monitoring and evaluation of DDBIO and other CIP Ethiopia supported projects. This position will be based in Addis Ababa with frequent travels to project implementation sites. The successful candidate will report to the Country Sweetpotato Program Coordinator based in Addis Ababa.

Terms of appointment: Initial appointment is for two years which will be renewable based on performance and funding availability.
