Job Description
International Development Enterprises (iDE) is an international NGO dedicated to creating income and livelihood opportunities for poor rural households of Ethiopia through various projects implemented in different parts of the country. We are seeking to recruit qualified and experienced personnel for the position specified hereunder. Hence, interested applicants who meet the specified requirements are invited to apply for the job opportunity.
Key responsibilities:
The WASH & Agricultural Technologies Director will generally be responsible for leading the product design and development efforts for both Agriculture and WASH programs, promotion and dissemination of manual well drilling initiatives and establishing supply chains for iDE’s WASH and Agricultural technologies. The director will be expected to combine WASH and promotion of irrigation technology roles. She/He will supervise the work of WASH officers, Irrigation and Product Fabrication Expert, Manual Well Drilling Trainers and Micro Irrigation Technicians and be the liaison between field testing and the workshop and partner(s) for design modification, improvement and project implementations.
Duty Station :
- Addis Ababa, with extensive travel to rural areas
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
- MSc/MA in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration or related fields with minimum of 4 years NGO experience directly related to WASH and agricultural technologies.
- BSc/BA in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration or related fields with minimum of 6 years NGO experience directly related to WASH and agricultural technologies.
- Proven experience in Irrigation technology, Product design, development and promotion.
- Reach experience in WASH marketing, and supply chain
- Experience in promotion of impact product and services to rural households
- Experience in human Centered design and familiar with design thinking
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Strong analytical and writing skills.
- Team player.
- Proficiency in Microsoft word, excel, statistical software and design software particularly Auto CAD or Solidworks
- Willing to frequently travel to project areas.
