PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To manage sales and sales administration activities in a specified geographic area of Addis Ababa.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Management focus:

  • Manage sales performance of Account Developers
  • Managing day-to-day sales and service activities of Account Developers and other applicable sales support functions (Salesmen, Porters)
  • Ensure that Account Developers perform according to specified sales objectives and criteria (according to Awash Sales Customer Service Packages)
  • Take responsibility for sales performance (against set volume targets) and execution of sales and marketing standards in allocated area

Functional focus:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled trade visits in allocated area to:
  • assess sales and service performance
  • identify new opportunities for volume growth and service improvements
  • monitor competitive activities

Administrative focus:

  • Daily reporting of area sales activities and executions against set objectives
  • Daily exception reporting of sales and service failures and trade anomalies to Regional Sales Manager
  • Weekly reporting of area sales performance against set targets
  • Weekly reporting of area trade status according to set criteria
  • Weekly approvals and submissions of outlet master amendments
  • Timeously compile and submit prescribed reporting inputs and outputs to management and staff
  • Be responsible for the management and control of expenditures against set budgets
  • Be responsible for staff adherence to Awash S.C. policies and procedures
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews with subordinates, as per prescribed standards and timing schedule.

Job Requirements

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND, EXPERIENCE

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Business Administration, or related.
  • Minimum 4 years in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry with good Route to Market Knowledge. Previous experience in the above-mentioned regions market will be preferred
  • At least 2 years’ experience having managed sales representatives and distribution teams with a sales target responsibility.
  • Excellent communication skills.                      
  • Ability to multi-task

Language skills:

  • English, Amharic
