ECSTA Higher Learning Institute is a not-for-profit; full-fledged higher learning chartered institution, which is registered with the Ethiopian Ministry of Education would like to hire a professional for the following position:

Job Summary:

 Quality of Education:

  • Ensuring the quality of trainees through scientific assessment for recruitment
  • Maintaining and enhancing medical education by providing coordinated oversight of the curriculum and curricular change;
  • Ensure the quality of teaching learning process and assessment methods
  • Recruit and Evaluate instructors

Research:

  • Overseeing the research agenda including fostering of interdisciplinary programs, basic research, clinical research, and translational research;

Clinical education:

  • Ensuring the clinical environment provides high quality clinical teaching and is conducive to appropriate integration of the courses,
  •  Liaise with clinical affiliation sites

Community Based Education:

  • Assuring active engagement and collaboration with community partners to improve community based education through partnership, outreach, health advocacy, and engaged scholarship;
  • Promoting a community of diverse faculty, students, and staff;

Infrastructure and Leadership:

  • Preparing and administering the budget of the School;
  • Developing and maintaining good relationships with students/trainees, faculty, staff, and alumni;
  • Fostering professionalism, diversity, and a positive work/learning environment 

Job Requirements

Qualification

  • MD plus MSc in Health professional education/MSc in medical education/FAIMER fellow
  • MD plus MPH and Certification on Effective teaching, Clinical skills training,Assessment, Curriculum development, educational leadership, quality assurance

Job Experience

  • Minimum 5 years as a lecturer or above in Higher Learning Institution  providing health science education
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in leadership/coordination of programs working in any educational development center/s
