  1. Reports to: Country Director
  2. Position summary:

The officer is responsible to make the training center serves as center of excellence in undertaking training need assessments, developing training materials and provide quality training’s using experiential learning approach.

  1.  Major duties and responsibilities
  • Conduct regular training need assessment of both DSW supported youth and other partners
  • Prepare, update and adapt training manuals and handouts based on the findings of need assessment
  • Organize and conduct need based  training’s on the areas of his or her expertise
  • Prepare annual course calendar and market to potential organizations on youth, women and related development topics.
  • Plan, organize and conduct DSW project related training’s, seminars and workshops
  • Closely work with NTC M and E and IEC/BCC unit  in the areas of research,  and documentation of good practices
  • Disseminate good practices, AYSRH information and others   using the exiting plat forms including social media, networks and forums and  mobile health in collaboration with IT  person.
  • Support the production of IEC/BCC materials  focusing on TC and specific projects as needed
  • Support the promotion of the training center and ensure the maximum utilization of the facilities
  • Develop training standards, tools, evaluation formats and   make sure that the training organized accordingly.
  • Ensure that DSW  trainings are to the expected quality and standard
  • Follow up  the procurement of training  materials required to run the trainings including certification
  • Follow up client/customer satisfaction within the organization’s standard and procedures  and provide written feedback

Job Requirements:

  1. Required qualification
  • Masters degree in public health, nursing, social science that includes sociology, social work, social psychology and other related fields.
  • At least  four   years of   proven professional experience in capacity building, training and related activities in youth development, Sexual reproductive health, livelihood and women development programs. The applicant has to have good  facilitation and communication skills and better understanding of the current AYSRH landscape
  • Good experience in coordination, administration and facilitation of activities.
  • Willing to base in Debre zeit and ability to work within and across teams
  • Good communication skills in both English and local language

  • Terms of employment:  Contract for one year with the possibility of extension based on performance and availability of fund
