Further programmes enhance the development of a sustainable textile sector and renewable energies. GIZ- Office is looking to recruit a Finance Receptionist as per the detail below


Overall Responsibilities:

  • Ensure smooth transaction flow between Finance Department and Projects or other departments or external third parties.  

Tasks:

  • Receives payment requests, check contents if they Comply with GIZ Process and Rules and the GIZ Ethiopia domestic policy.
  • Check different kinds of documents submitted to Finance against the appropriate “Checklists”.
  • If documents submitted lack certain facts or proper supporting document, explain to the sender and send back for amendment.
  • If document submitted is complete, place the “Received Date’’ and the “Accounting Stamp” on the document.
  • For complete documents, sign on “Received by” line in the Accounting Stamp, register in Document Delivery Excel file and submit to the responsible person.
  • Receive customers and direct them to the proper officer, in case discussion and further explanation is required.
  • Support the Finance Team in invalidating processed vouchers to prevent invoices from being re-used. This includes writing Voucher Numbers on all supporting documents.
  • Perform any other duty as may be required.   

Job Requirements

Required Educational qualifications, professional experience and competency

Qualifications

  •  Completion of College Education or similar

Professional experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience

Other knowledge, additional competencies

  • Knowledge of fluent English language both in speaking and writing
  • Computer literacy: familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word
