Name of the project: Seeds of Future
The Seed of Future project is an integrated initiative that aims to contribute to the improvement of the production and intake of a nutrient rich diet by rural communities in the Oromia Region, through the adoption of a multi-sectoral approach (agricultural, social and health), work with a particular emphasis with women, children and other vulnerable groups, by creating and promoting a new social pact and strong alliances between producer associations and other institutions. This is done with the intent to activate a process of structural change, whereby agricultural practices are promoted among peasants and families, while taking into account the diversity of the production systems.
Location of the project
- Oromia Region, South West Shewa Zone - Wolisso Zuria, Goru, Seden Soddo and Ameya Wereda.
ABOUT THE ROLE
CEFA is looking for 1 motivated Coordinator of Child Protection.The coordinator will be in charge of the implementation of the activities of the project, in particular of the activities related to protection, with support and psycho-social assistance of families, women and children most at risk of malnutrition.
Coordination of the activities:
- Coordinate and monitor the activities, ensuring the achievement of the objectives and indicators established according to the full project proposal as well as donor guidelines.
- Provide Child Protection technical advice within the project on aspects of competence.
- In coordination with the project manager, manage relations with local partners, different stakeholders at government level and main institutional actors involved in training activities.
- Ensure timely narrative and financial reporting as per Organization and donor guidelines (Project management tool)

- Job Requirements:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
- Degree in relevant fields and 3-5 years’ humanitarian experience in NGO with experience in developing collaborative partnerships, managing child protection-sector projects funded by institutional donors, as well as experience in collaborating with and supporting international/local partner organizations.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
A strong understanding and commitment to child protection standards, principles, instruments, frameworks and protocols is essential to this role.
- Excellent organizational skills, with ability to determine priorities and pay attention to detail, ability to work in a multicultural context as a flexible and respectful team player.
- Excellent written and spoken English required
- Fluency in Oromiffa is an asset
- Previous experience in Ethiopia in child protection sector desired
- Motorbike driving technical skill and motorbike driving license;
