Job Description

General Duty and Responsibility

The Purchaser collects proforma invoice and carries out purchasing upon approval the purchase requests based on the existing and future purchasing rules and procedures of the hotel.

 Detail Duties and Responsibilities

  • Make sure that all the rules and procedures regarding purchase are properly implemented.
  • Collect proforma invoices from suppliers according to the specifications indicated in the purchase requisition form.
  • Confirm that the appropriate official signs all purchase orders.
  • Keep list of suppliers with their specialization and address and update the list as frequently as possible.
  • Prepare a comparison table that shows the name of the supplier, offered prices, supplying place and time, etc, and submit this to a purchasing committee or the authority who makes the purchase decision as appropriate.
  • Purchase and receive the goods and materials from the approved supplier by checking the type and the quality of the goods or materials against the specifications indicated in the purchase requisition forms.
  • Ensure reception of the purchased goods and materials by the store according to the purchase agreements made between the hotel and the supplier.
  • Collect proforma invoices for purchase of stationery materials and printing of special document and vouchers to the hotel as per the instructions given to him and submit to the higher concerned official for approval, and follow up implementation of the decision.
  • Collect and compile information on new goods, materials and equipment and suggest their uses and special advantages of their introduction to the hotel.
  • Undertake studies on the situations of suppliers, quality of goods and materials, etc, and submit recommendations on how to purchase goods, materials and equipment by reasonably cheaper prices.

Job Requirements

    • Degree or Diploma, Level 4 in Purchasing & Supplies Management, Accounting or  Business Administration with 1-2 year experience.
    • COC Certified, Related Training's including computer skills and direct hotel sector experienced applicant are more advantageous.
