Job Description


Major responsibilities

  • Plan, organize and execute all legal matter of the union.
  • Consult the union members who come physically or on telephone with legal issues.
  • Scrutinizing all labor affairs in line with the legal provisions
  • Provide the legal advice on pertinent issues to the Executive Committee of the Employees Union and labor office.
  • Handles all legal cases on behalf of the union to appear and defend before the court to the best interest of the union.
  • Analyzes, examine and give legal opinion on all legal transaction.
  • Make a research or Analyses and recommend issues to be modified or included in collective agreement.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents.
  • Prepare pleadings and other documents, such as contracts, deeds, and wills.
  • Performs other relevant duties when assigned by the president of the Employees Union or office manager.

Job Requirement

  • Qualification :LLB in Law from recognized higher institution
  • Experience :Minimum of three years of relevant experience

 Additional skill

Excellent written and verbal communication in Amharic and English, Basic computer skill ,Knowledge of all applicable laws, rules and regulations, High attention to detail, Strong negotiation skills, Ability to prepare complex legal documents.
