With over 80 years serving the local and international market, we are one of the country’s most beloved brands. The company was acquired in September 2013 through a local and international partnership. Our international staff, with a combined 82 years of experience in the beverage industry, collaborates with 652 local employees at our two production facilities in Addis Ababa and our vineyard in Merti Jeju, Upper Awash. This local-foreign partnership means we combine international know-how with a deep knowledge of Ethiopia’s dynamic and exciting market.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To introduce consumers to a new wine brand or to remind them of our current wine brands in a memorable way that associates the specific wines with a positive experience that ultimately results in volume growth and or improvement in brand measures.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 1.   Strategy and implementation

  • Plan & implement a brand activation plan based on the strategy set to achieve the brand objectives
  • Plan how to executive campaigns across all offline channels
  • Plan events with clients and customers
  • Account manage 3rd party suppliers and franchise relationships
  • Conduct a Competitor analysis
  • Assist with Digital campaigns when necessary

2.  Running business

  •  Manage Brand promotional campaign, events, POS materials, resources needed as per the strategic plan laid out by the Category brand & innovation manger
  • Manage details of events such as promotional activation, Events, launching, conferences, trade shows, sales meetings, business meetings, employee appreciation events, etc
  • Analyze event performance and prepare dashboards presentation based in comparison to the campaign objective
  • Report adequately on Activation, Events and Third-party agencies performances vs target.
  • Assist in the formulation and development of Activation checklist and dashboards
  • Assist in aligning the category Brand Managers activation plans to brand strategic plans to achieve the expected outcome
  • Ensure adequate resources are available for any promotional campaign.
  • Create as well as maintain long term relationships with outlets & relevant stakeholders to make them our loyal customers

3.  People Management

  • Manage Agencies responsible for Activation and event coordination activities

 4.  Budget, KPI’s and Controlling

  •  Ensure Promotional Campaign plans are executed efficiently according to the budget allocated

 5.  Quality, health, security and safety

  • Apply within the commercial function the company Quality and SHE policies and procedure
  • Foster a safe shell working environment aiming at a zero accidental and minimal sickness and Absenteeism

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Not less than five (5) years FMCG or Marketing Agency experience
  •  A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Management, plus a professional qualification in Sales or Marketing.
  • High level of planning and organizing competencies
  • High level of commercial and business understanding
  • Excellent Social Communication skills and ability to work with others
