Creative Associates International, Inc., with offices headquartered in Washington DC at 5201 Wisconsin Avenue, N.W., Suite 700 20015, has opened Ethiopia Regional Option Project. The Ethiopian Regional Option is an USAID/OTI funded program that will support the Government of Ethiopia’s reform process. Initial activities of this program will increase understanding and respond to the reform agenda in line with Government of Ethiopia (GoE) and US Government Priorities.

Ethiopia Program Field Office would like to invite capable firms or individuals to provide Short Term Technical Assistance (STTA) Support service for the below stated scope of work and mentioned duration.   

 SCOPE OF WORK

A consultant will need to handle the below activities for the upcoming plan that will be carried out starting by the end of February 2020 for a short period of time.

 Estimated period of performance: on/about February 24^th, 2020 to March 7^th, 2020.

LIST OF ACTIVITIES

• Provide consecutive interpretation during meetings, and provide translation of written materials, as needed;
• Provide strategic daily support to the Communications and Media Advisor by helping to identify points of contact within the media sector and government communications sector in Bahir Dar and/or greater Amhara region;
• Assist the Communications and Media Advisor with calling government officials, representatives and management of media outlets and other media sector organizations;
• Attend meetings with relevant experts, implementing partner organizations, donor programs, and host country officials in Amhara Regional State;
• Other duties 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree and two or more years of experience demonstrated for a similar scope of work, or a combination of work experience to in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree
• Demonstrated simultaneous interpretation skills from Amharic to English and English to Amharic
• Demonstrated spoken fluency in Amharic and English, demonstrated written fluency is preferred.
• Demonstrated past experience working with Government offices, NGOs in Ethiopia
• Demonstrated knowledge of Amhara region and regional government offices within Amhara region
