As an International Christian Humanitarian Development organization, World Vision Ethiopia (WVE) is trusted to deliver community service through its 58 Area Development programs (APs) located in seven regional states of the country. WVE is looking for persons who fulfill the following qualifications.
Purpose of the position:
The Project Coordinator is expected to coordinate the whole activities of the project for the establishment of continuous improvement of safety and hygiene at Felege Hiwot Referral Hospital, through KAIZEN concepts: organizing and facilitating leadership trainings for hospital staff, establishing supportive supervision system, building partnership with community, conducting baseline survey and monitoring its progress, ensuring installation of waste management facilities in the hospital.
Major Responsibilities
1. Program development and implementation

· Maintaining and monitoring project plans and prepare activity schedules, work plan, and budget |
· Ensure establishment of project Monitoring and supportive supervision system, and design reporting templates, and provide progress report both narrative and financial to WVE/WVJ |
· Organizing and facilitating KAIZEN events to stakeholders and follow up on the preparation and documentation of best practices |
· Plan to strengthen partnership with the community through the implementation of Social accountability (CVA) and Program Accountability Framework (PAF) |
· Collaborate with the project support team to conduct a baseline survey, progress monitoring, and end-line surveys |
· Ensure infrastructure renovation, incinerator and waste management installation and follow the alignment with standards |
· Organizing, attending, and participating CASH (Clean and Safe Health Facilities) Continuous Improvement and Total quality management training for Felege Hiwot Referral Hospital staff and cleaners and provide follow up after training |
· Provide ongoing need assessment for Continuous Quality Improvement in the hospital and Identify gaps in project implementation and collaborate with the project team to improve the project delivery mechanisms |
Job Requirements
Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
· Qualification required: Degree in Public health/Health service administration/health sciences or related fields at least 5 years work experiences for MA/MPH or 7 years for a bachelor’s degree with progressive work experience in health services management as a supervisory role in leading nurses, clinical technicians, physicians, assistant administrators, and other medical staff.
· Experience working in hospitals settings in senior management team or as a clinical department head
· Excellent writing and communication skills in English required and proven ability to give effective and engaging presentations
· Strong, interpersonal, communication, networking and facilitation skills.
· Ability to meet frequent and competing deadlines while maintaining technical quality
· Experience in the management of field-based programs and research activities.
· Ability to think critically and strategically and a good understanding of Ethiopia Hospital reform implementation guidelines.
Working Environment / Conditions:
· Felege Hiwot Hospital-based with frequent travel to the field
· The position requires the ability and willingness to work in Hospital settings
