Currently, our business unit Dereja is undertaking projects in tackling the issue of youth unemployment. Dereja is a pioneer in establishing Career Center services in Higher Education Institutions, organizing regional and national job fairs and design and deliver employability skills training for fresh graduates. Thus, Dereja is looking for a qualified Employer Relation Coordinator that will work directly in the Employers Relations unit. 

Job Summary

The Employers Relation Coordinator works with the Employers relation manager, Ethiojobs.net and HR Delivery team in order to provide a one-stop-shop youth employment services that are undertaken by Dereja, fostering a relationship with existing employers, identifying new employers with job opportunities for fresh graduates while creating awareness about Dereja activities. Thus, the Employers relation coordinator is responsible to carry out the following activities;  

  • Ensure employers have a positive customer experience through proactive and professional service exchanges,
  • Coordinate events such as, Job Fairs, Employers Forums, HR Conferences and other related programs,
  • Conduct need assessment with employers in Addis Ababa and the selected regions,
  • Execute a number of administrative duties such as making and fielding phone calls, emailing and faxing documents, data entry, and other clerical functions as needed,
  • Other administrative duties such as formulating, compiling and reviewing reports, and developing informational materials,
  • Works with database managing system to ensure proper execution of employers onboarding process in a consistent, professional, and timely manner,
  • Answer customer phone and email inquiries, identify customer requirements, provide results and additional information that meets or exceeds the customer’s expectations and follow up with solutions,
  • Occasional travel to meet with employers in the selected regions,
  • Assist conduct impact assessments and properly tracked and recorded,   
  • May support sales team with various duties including answering questions and preparing quotes,
  • Perform other related duties as needed in collaboration with the Employers Relations Manager and other business units of IMS,

Term of Employment: One year

Job Requirements

  • Broad knowledge and proven experience in customer service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Amharic
  • Computer proficiency
  • Basic problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Able to perform in a tight schedule
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Ability to follow up
  • General technical industry knowledge and basic know-how on the unemployment challenges faced in Ethiopia
  • Passionate to work on youth development projects especially on employment and employability

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any Natural or Social Science field
  • 3 years of experience in customer service
