PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Support the departments at Awash Wine SC with the procurement of items and services. Ensure procurement of goods and services as per procurement process, demand, and time of use.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
- Have full responsibility for the procurement of items and services from end to end (from tendering documents preparation to final payment)
- Processing of Procurement Request into the company’s ERP system
- Ensure compliance to procurement process, payment terms, and stock delivery
- Prepare and maintain order plan, procurement needs for stock items (as per field of responsibility, e.g. chemicals, stationeries, PPE, spare parts, etc.)
- Prepare and maintain purchasing documentations, records, and price lists
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to determine procurement needs, quality, and delivery requirements, mainly for:
- Collect Proforma Invoices and goods when necessary. Ensure pick-up and/or delivery of goods
- Communicate and update timely the requester on the progress of PR and order
- Maintain reliable procurement procedure
- Identify regularly new potential suppliers
- Identify potential preferred suppliers
- Collect price catalogues for standard items
- Develop a contractual frame to simplify and fasten procurement with agreed suppliers
- Supervise supplier QA and material quality and evaluate reported non-conformance issues
- Support Storekeeper with stock inventory and minimum stock level tracking
- Ensure Procurement, Business, and Suppliers conduct business ethically, and within the Company's Anti Bribery and Corruption guidelines
- Alert the leadership to any improper practice
- Monitor Suppliers for financial and reputational risks
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3 - 5 years as procurement officer
- Knowledge of the Local Market;
- Familiarity with Ethiopian government’s procurement;
- Knowledge of international procurement and customs clearance procedures;
- Familiarity with procurement procedures of major international donors;
- Good communication skills, interpersonal skills;
