job Purpose

Implements and manages network and security infrastructures of the group Company and ensure the confidentiality, availability and integrity of systems, applications and data/information. Ensure that proper controls are in place to mitigate risks and to identify potential vulnerabilities. Sets up, monitors, troubleshoots and maintains the Group Company network infrastructure and security devices such as firewalls, VPN, network intrusion detection systems and others. Monitors, detects, reports security weakness and enforces information security policies. Works with a team and participate in design and implement incident response procedures. Security and network infrastructure Manager is responsible for installing, maintaining, supporting and managing the overall computer communication networks within the Company.

1. Duties and responsibilities

1.    Provides administration and maintenance of Local and Wide Area Networks VPN, system servers, applications and equipment’s;

2.    Install, configure, and maintain Multisite or branch office Network, Ethernet Networks, Network cabling, Servers, personal computers, and other related equipment, devices, and systems; adds or upgrades and configures Routers, Access Point, disk drives, Network printers, and related equipment.

3.    Assures system stability, security and maximum uptime;

4.    Monitors access to system resources, and tracks connectivity and security problems;

5.    Analyzes problems and implements solutions according to relevant procedures;

6.    Performs circuit and network troubleshooting to diagnose system problems, analyzes system functionality; identifies, locates, and resolves complex network problems to ensure minimal disturbance of critical applications;

7.    Monitors and reviews system log reports and network documentation;

8.    Resolves and repairs problems within scope of authority;

9.    Monitors system for operating efficiency, makes corrective adjustments to data management settings, and assures optimum performance and system integrity;

10. Installs and configures hardware, equipment, and system software applications, including remote site deployments as required;

11. Installs, configures and updates network server software, upgrades file sharing and domain security protocols;

12. Detects and corrects software errors;

13. Provides advice to Joiners when problems occur which are beyond their skills and assist on tracking the problem until it has been resolved;

14. Oversees design and implementation of individual solutions and ongoing maintenance and management of the network;

15. Assists remote site support staff with network troubleshooting and coordinates communication related to company wide area network interface issues;

16. Consults with partners on telecommunication and network issues related to the company’s infrastructure and communication systems;

17. Provides resolution information and collaborates with other teams to complete impact analysis where appropriate

18. Provides detailed solution documentation;

19. Conducts site survey, prepares bill of quantity, designs network layout, performs cabling, tracking, labeling and installing and implementing the network;

20. Prepares network installation and configuration document;

21. Manage active directory on the server.

22. Participates in preparing specification and inspection of hardware components to be purchased or acquired;

23. Performs technical evaluation for IT procurement;

24. Administers office information systems including servers, desktops and LAN/WAN connectivity;

25. Manages and ensures the smooth day to day operation of systems and infrastructure both at Head Office, sites and branches.);

26. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

·         Timely maintenance of computers, printers, scanners and other communication devices;

·         Timely preventive maintenance of computer systems;

·         Installation of updated anti-virus software on all computer;

3. Expected result

·         Implemented and maintained network infrastructure at Head quarter, branches, and head office to branches for centralized information system.

·         Monitoring the performance of the Company’s network;

·         Company’s network design documentation;

·         Manage for the maintenance of hardware components like servers, computers, printers and others device

·         B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information science, Information Systems or Information Technology plus diploma in business related fields;

·         A minimum of 6 years’ progressive experience in Network infrastructure and IS security implementation and management out of which two years on managerial positions

·         CCNA/MCSA certification/accreditation is Mandatory and CCNP/MCSE/VCA (VMware Certified Associate) certification/accreditation is desirable
