Position: Senior Water Supply Engineer /Technical Specialist

Job Summary
• Prepare project profile to be approved by the WRDF Management Board, collect relevant information at office and field level for projects appraisal, conduct project appraisal, check the appropriateness bidding documents, evaluate & comment on study, design, business plan, performance agreement, capacity building, environmental and social impact assessment, assist project owner in procurement process, review and comment on project completion report and other related activities.

- Monthly Salary: 19,000 ETB
- Duration: One year contract with possible extension

Qualifications and experience:
• BSc/MSc Degree from recognized university in water supply engineering or related fields with 10/8 years of work experience
• The candidate should have experience in water supply and sanitation projects development (studies, design, construction, supervision and contract administration)

Competencies:
• Able to work with multiple people of different backgrounds.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skill in substantive and technical area.
• Fluency in both spoken and written English
• Computer skills and use of relevant software, spread sheet, database, internet
• Openness to change and ability to manage complexities.
• Good writing, editing and analytical skills and capability of working independently.
• Knowledge on business plan elaboration water utilities management borehole drilling and water source development topographic study water scheme design and construction is advantageous
• Ability to work effectively, take initiative and deliver results, even under pressure, and willingness to visit sites in remote areas
