Summary of the Role:
Coffee Washing Station (CWS) Manager will coordinate CWS activities and employees during the harvest season, following strict protocol, for the production of washed, honey, natural and experimental coffees and reports to Addis Ababa managers. During the off season, this person is responsible for ensure the proper maintenance of CWS facilities and equipment.
Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated individual to help us manage and improve our CWS and coffee production operations.
Responsibilities:
- Will represent the company in all work related activities and must uphold company values.
- Will be responsible for managing all employees and CWS related operations.
- Must maintain CWS facilities at all times.
- Must develop plans for improving the company CWS operations.
- Must submit reports to the company managers in a timely manner.
- During the harvest must maintain daily records of all cherry purchases and report this data to managers on a daily basis.
- Must implement short and long term plans to boost Qaqe operations as prescribed by the company managers.
- Must complete other activities as assigned by managers/supervisor
Start Date:
- Position to begin as soon as possible.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- BSc in horticulture, agronomy, agriculture or equivalent.
- Must display working knowledge of coffee production.
- At least 2-years of work experience in the coffee sector.
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English is a must.
- Proficiency in Afan Oromo is desired.
Skills:
- Displays ability to work well in a group setting with understanding of corporate hierarchy and chain of reporting.
- Must display a forward thinking ability to analyze and propose solutions to problems that may exist in their field of work to strengthen Qaqe operations.
- Good communication skills are a must.
- Must display an ability to adapt to changing work/field conditions and resourcefulness in completing sometimes challenging tasks.
- Ability to work in a start-up environment as part of a core team building the organization from ground-up.
- Excellent numeric ability & analytical skills.
