Job Summarization:
The Marketing Officer is a key position for developing and the success of Silafrica in the Ethiopian market. This position needs to coordinate, promote and execute a Year Marketing Plan to promote and raise the Silafrica brand and boost sales. Coordinate, promote and execute a Marketing Plan for all Ethiopian accounts consisting in all promotional activities, to boost Silafrica sales in each account. This role must be coordinate, execute, finish and feedback the task arranged by Marketing Manager. Establish and keep good relationship with the company customers, and duly carry out some Public Relation campaign at specific times.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contributing in the implementation of marketing strategies
- Supporting the marketing manager in overseeing the department’s operations
- Acts as the highest-ranking employee in the marketing department
- Research and analyses market trends, competitor offerings, demographics, and other information that affects marketing strategies
- Uses research findings and analysis to provide direction to marketing managers regarding upcoming marketing projects, new products or services, and overall strategy
- Identifies areas for improvement in product offerings, sales tactics, marketing strategy, and promotional activities
- Clearly understand all marketing campaigns and plans before they are implemented
- Weighs in on important decisions involving product advertising, packaging, media channels, and branding
- Maintains the department's budget and ensures all marketing activities are cost-effective
- Monitors marketing and sales performance and adjusts strategies as needed
- Adheres to and implements all company policies and procedures
Job Requirements
Qualification, Experience and skills:
- Bachelor degree in Marketing/Business Management or related fields
- Minimum of three years related experience, appreciated previous experience in similar role.
- Superior strong execution English (speaking and writing) skills, systems approach, ERP exposure and computer friendly are mandatory. Excellent communication and Strong Planning Capabilities.
