Purpose of the position

To supervise, all the Woreda SPIR DFSA interventions and other infrastructure works implementation. And closely follow up and ensure the implementation of the public work and transfer of food and cash for all the works done in the woreda.

Major duties and Responsibilities

·         Together with Woreda level PSNP task forces develop annual PSNP work plan on a monthly basis and submit got approval to the Woreda DFSA Manager.

·         Lead the implementation of all the SPIR DFSA activities like soil and water conservation, rural road rehabilitation, water point development, school rehabilitation, and others together with the WASH and infrastructure officer.

·         In association with relevant experts from government offices, perform SPIR DFSA development and other Infrastructure works studies and conduct design review as required.

·         Liaison with the relevant government office to procure and supply of construction materials as part of the Cap and admin.

·         Together with the government office develop a reconciliation of the SPIR DFSA public works done by each household to be eligible for the period transfer payment.

·         Support the commodity team in the distribution of food to the public and direct public support beneficiaries. 

·         Participate in the complementation of rural infrastructure constructed through public work for handing over to the relevant government office. 

·         Develop a weekly, monthly, quarterly and year SPIR DFSA reports to be submitted to woreda, regional and head office

·         Work with the WASH and infrastructure officer to review and verify engineering estimations and payment certificates for water resources and other Infrastructure works projects.

·         Support the research partners on their field assessments, compilation of data and generating of report on key research areas in the woreda.

·         BA/BSc in agricultural engineering, Sociology, agriculture, natural resource management, economics, and other related social science studies.

·         More than 2 years of experience in natural resource management, safety net, rural infrastructure construction, and other similar rural development programs.
