Pagumen aims to unleash Ethiopia’s potential for sustainable and inclusive tourism development and then promote Ethiopia’s history, culture, nature, hospitality to the world.

 The company provide diverse, full of choices, unique and customized to customers’ peculiar needs and conditions. Pagumen provides a “one window service” for all needs of services and products in the tourism sector. It provides tour operations (inbound outbound & domestic), Ticketing (IATA registered), MICE including event, car rental services with own modern all range cars and many more. 

General Duties and Responsibilities

He /she is responsible in planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, control and manage the overall activities of Logistics & fleet management unit. Coordinates, controls and follows up the activities of drivers, purchasers, storekeepers, general service officers, vehicle maintenance inspectors etc. Ensures that all the company’s fleet/vehicles/ are properly handled, maintained, repaired, serviced and at all times in excellent order and condition, always ready and available for operational activities

Specific Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to)

  • Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, controls and manages the overall activities of the Logistics and fleet management unit.
  • Co-ordinates, controls and follows up the activities of purchasers, storekeepers, general service officers, vehicle maintenance and inspection officers etc.
  • Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms; Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility; Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Prepare annual procurement plan for supplies and vehicles parts and procure as per the procurement manual of the company.
  • Procure all materials and services requested by Departments as per the procurement manual of the company
  • Controls and follows-up the movements of all imported and locally purchased goods and materials starting from receiving to storing and distributing to the concerned work units.
  • Follow up and coordinate bank process, customs clearance and transport for imported good for sales. Responsible for distribution and sales to retailers.
  • Ensures that all the company’s fleet /vehicles/ are properly handled, maintained, repaired, serviced and at all times in excellent order and condition, always ready and available for operational activities

Reporting to: Finance & Logistics Manager

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Education:  

  • MBA/MA/MBL degree or Bachelor of Art Degree in Management or Resource Management or Logistics Management or related fields

Experience;

  • Six/Eight years of total work Experience in similar and related business companies and out of it 2/3 years at managerial or supervisory position respectively
