Job Description
- Logs, labels, and processes specimens and paperwork for testing.
- Prepares and/or aliquots pre-analytical reagents and media.
- Performs routine housekeeping and preventative maintenance on laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Proactively monitor, review, and communicate to ensure data are in compliance with Process Specification
- Provide general laboratory support such as scheduled routine tasks, instrument preventative maintenance; prepare standards, restocking chemical inventory, and good housekeeping to comply with H&S regulations
- Helps to ensure the laboratory area is neat and clean.
- Uses and wears protective equipment and clothing as appropriate and properly reports all incidents.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (or similar) Biology or Chemistry, Diploma in Laboratory Science, Candidates with a university degree are preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical or molecular biology laboratory experience.
- Computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel, etc.…
- Able to lift light to moderately heavy objects.
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time and perform extended periods of eye and hand coordination.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment and maintain strict production and quality standards.
