VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
About the Organization:
VisionFund Micro Finance Institution (S.C) is an Institution established according to proclamation No. 40/96 to provide financial services to the productive poor in the rural and urban areas of Ethiopia. VisionFund is currently operating in four of the Regional States of the country.
VisionFund MFI is currently looking for internal candidates for Accounts and Control Officers for Grade C Branch Offices. The successful candidates will have skills and experience that meet the following requirements:
Collateral Valuation
· Assists in conducting market research and survey activities;
· Conducts inspection and/or appraisal of any property being offered as collateral; maybe houses, cars, etc
· Solicits new project loans in accordance with specific periodic performance targets prescribed in the Institution’s business plan;
· Create awareness to departments about VF MFI project loan products;
· Work closely with the project loan funding organization for smooth implementation of project loan products within the Institution
· Assists the department senior manager in preparing the project loans’ annual plans and budget;
· Standardization of loan collateral Housing
· Seize collateral registry at Institution level
· Review the project loan applications and perform credit appraisal on loan applicants and his/her surety/ guarantor, if any;
· Advises areas, branches and the credit services and portfolio management department on credit applications of school loans and other for approval;
· Assess client history & performance to recommend for repeat project loans
· Submits periodic reports and statistical data to the Credit Services & Portfolio Department S/Manager and Project loan partner organization timely basis.

§ Ensure system generated tasks such EOM running, backups, off-line files, scanned copies of loan documents are properly handled & timely reported
§ Promptly produces regular financial and other reports per policy and procedure of the institution;
§ Produce for review monthly income, balance sheet and cash flow statement of the head office.
Job Requirements
· BA/BSc degree in Economics, Banking & Finance, Accounting, Management, Construction Technology, Automotive Technology or related fields.
· At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
· Good teamwork;
· Knowledge of preparation of auto technical specification
· Property valuation skill
· Demonstrated technical ability to interact and work effectively with others at all levels;
· Basic computer skills and excellent written and oral communication skills;
· Self-starter and perseverance in character;
· Be proficient in Microsoft with excellent excel spreadsheet skills;
· Very good communicator
WORKING CONDITIONS AND LEVEL OF TRAVEL REQUIRED
