Based in: Addis Ababa  

Duration of contract: Five Months

Remuneration: As per the organization pay scale.

We are looking for an HR Specialist that support the successful implementation of PSI Ethiopia’s strategy through effective HR operation by (i) implementing HR strategy, policies, procedures, processes and programs; and (ii) providing consistent, efficient and quality transactional and operational HR services.   

Key Result Areas:

  • HR service delivery (e.g. consistency, quality, speed)
  • Talent management (e.g. succession planning, career development, learning and development, performance management, etc.)
  • Vendor management

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the development and review of human resource management plan and programs.
  • Implement HR strategy, policies, procedures, processes and programs across the organization.
  • Develop service level and customer interaction standards for all HR operational services.
  • Provide consistent HR operational services to HR stakeholders using effective and efficient service delivery systems enabled by appropriate technologies.  
  • Handle key talent management and development programs including succession planning, career development, learning and development, leadership development, workforce planning, recruitment, job design, sourcing, performance management, and total rewards.
  • Interpret, Implement, and maintain quality assurance standards within HR. 
  • Assist the Implementation of employee relations programs.
  • See HR trends in the organization and identify initiatives to mitigate risk areas.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and reporting processes and activities relating to HR programs.
  • Support the management of routine HR vendor relationships and operational interaction.

  • Handle disciplinary concerns of the PSI Ethiopia’s staff.

Job Requirements

Background

  • Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Management or related fields with four (4) years of demonstrated experience

OR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management or related fields with six (6) years of demonstrated experience
