In effort to control spread of covid-19 disease transmission, the government of Ethiopia on 23 March 2020, imposed a 14-day mandatory quarantine period for all travellers arriving in Bole International Airport. This includes MSF`s direct beneficiaries, the KSA migrant deportees.  One of the major   quarantine center for these deportees is in Addis Ababa Science and Technology University (AASTU) located in Kilinto.

Taking this in to consideration, it has been decided that the migrant project in MSF Spain temporarily moves it´s activities in the quarantine canter where our direct beneficiaries are currently located. The new activities include IPC (Information, Protection & control), Mental health services and Health Promotions.

MSF staff working inside the AASTU quarantine center will be on roster and there will be 2 teams (one after the other for five weeks period) supporting and living inside the AASTU compound. Staff will be working for three weeks and will be in quarantine for another two weeks and will have paid leave for a week after. Therefore full relevant trainings, PPE (personal protection equipment), accommodation, food, internet access and reduced working hours will be provided to those MSF staff members.)

 ACCOUNTABILITIES

•            Disinfect working  area inside and outside with Chlorine solution according to the procedure.

•            Make sure all the toilets at work place are functioning and cleaned.

•            Make sure the backup water is filled up always and changed every week.

•            Make ready all the dirty blankets to the laundry shop, receive it after cleaned, fold it, and keep it in the small store.

•            Support the cleaners in TCC as needed

•            During water cut, the cleaner shall bring water and fill the backup water tanker from other premises, by MSF Vehicles.

•            Request all the necessary materials for his­/her support in advance.

•            Collecting of all the rubbish, sweeping away the right places using MSF pickup.

•            Make sure all the wastes are segregated.

COVID 19 related Accountabilities

§  Cleaning and preparing a job site

§  Preparing different chlorine solution to disinfect the contaminated area.

§  Respect the cleaning hygine.

§  Respect of wearing the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE­).

§  Respect of Social distance.

§  Disinfecting the area after people are gathering.

§  Follow the proper IPC procedures.

§  Keep garbage bag with safe place, clean and throw away the garbage before getting full.
