Development Expertise Center (DEC) is a nonprofit, indigenous Civil Society Organization (CSO) establishedto contribute towards the national development efforts through integrated, decentralized and sustainable program interventions.DEC aspires to see all children equally developed and empowered. The organization has three major programme areas; Child Development, Gender and Life Skill Development and Skills and Entrepreneurship Development at  three National Regional States of Amhara, Afar and Oromia and one City Administration,DEC’s overall operations are managed from one coordination office located in Addis Ababa.Hence, DEC would like to recruit potential candidate for the following position

Job Summary;

Under the direction of program Head, the Project coordinator participates in the planning, coordination, monitoring and evaluation, and reporting activities of the Program/Project. She/he mobilizes resources, initiates and implements programs/projects and fosters collaborations to attain the organization mission and objectives.

• plan, organize and implement events including workshops, awareness-raising campaigns, and experience sharing opportunities;
• Develops concept notes and/or fundable project proposals;
• Identifies funding sources, potential project/program partners and other stakeholders;
• Coordinate the schedule, the budget and the issues and risks of the project;
• Ensure DEC safeguarding policies are implemented at all levels in its project site;
• Institutionalize and mainstream inclusion and gender equality;
• Facilitating technical training and workshops related to project;
• Designing strategy to reach youths and girls in the society;
• Assure weather the project is well-organized and  runs smoothly ;
• Develop  quality and timely report ;
• Organize and facilitate field visit and work with communities.

Qualification and Experience

 Education

• At least MSc/MA in social science, Health and other development fields.

Work Experience

At least 3 years direct CSO work experience.

• Technical and other profession skills

• Good Experience in Working with youth and adolescence;
• Ability of designing strategy to reach youths and girls in the society;
• Good Experience on Proposal writing PME  & coaching  Skills;
• Good communication skill in team work and partnership management ;
• Experience on facilitating technical training and workshops related to project;
• Good report writing and technology application skill ;
