Job Description

  1. EMAA would like to strengthen its internal technical capacity for the realization of the NLS and

Transformation of Ethiopia’s logistics sector through engaging the consulting services of qualified

and experienced Admin Assistant for LTO.

  1. The successful applicant shall assist the LTO and undertakes all the service and activities of administrative

support tasks to ensure smooth and efficient running of LTO office, staff, and to interact effectively and

respectfully with staff and other stakeholders with high quality and in a timely manner.

  1. The successful applicant will be engaged immediately on a full time basis for one year (extendable in three months contract basis depending on the satisfactory performance in the contract duration).
  2. The EMAA invites qualified and experienced consulting individuals (“Consultants”) that are eligible to participate in the NLS implementation to express their interest in providing the Service for the above position. Interested consultant should provide Letter of Expression of Interest along with their CVs and information (documentary evidence of academic background, evidence on experience in similar assignments & knowledge, etc.) indicating that they are qualified to perform the services as per the minimum qualification criteria listed below.

Job Requirement

The desired Admin Assistant should possess the following qualifications, competencies and expertise:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business and Information System (BIS), Secretarial Science, Secretary and Office Management, Office Administration or related field from reputable and recognized University preferably in Management ,Business Education/Management/Administration, ICT, Logistics and SCM or related fields;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and the Office applications and other software and document processing skills is required;
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team;
  • Fluency in English language including verbal and written;
  • Excellent report and correspondence writing skills;
  • Proven networking and team-building skills to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders;

The Admin Assistant shall have:

  • At least 3 years office administration/, office assistant or administrative experience.
  • Use of project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans; work hours, budgets and expenditures skill.
  • Knowledge of Office management systems and procedures;
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work;
  • Strong organization and planning skills;
  • Experience in projects financed by external donors such as the World Bank is an advantageous.

The Admin Assistant will be stationed in EMAA (Addis Ababa) with travel to different

Programs /project site as required.

How to Apply

The evaluation criteria will be solely based on individual experience and qualifications as follows.

(i)    Qualification (35%). This criterion further divided into two: Direct and Indirect

(ii)   Total years of Experience (35%). This criterion further divided into two:

General Experience and Relevant Experience

(iii)  Specific Experience related to logistics and IDA financed projects (10%).

  • Relevant written exam and/or interview for a score of (20%).
