BACKGROUND:
First Consult (FC)/Development Alternative Inc (DAI) has been contracted to provide management and technical support services on behalf of the Mastercard Foundation through the BRIDGES programme. The objective of the BRIDGES programme is to support the creation of close to 600,000 youth jobs (consisting of 80% women) and 15,000 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), with 300,000 unemployed youth trained.
The programme has two pathways – the first pathway, supports direct employment linkages for youth with various companies, and the second, is an entrepreneurship pathway where MSMEs will be nurtured to promote self-employment.
The programme supports unemployed youth through the provision of training programmes at scale. FC/ BRIDGES would like to hire 50 young graduates who will undergo Training of Trainers (TOT).
WORKING ARRANGEMENTS: Selected candidates will facilitate training programs for youth with a focus on access to finance, and small business management on a temporary basis
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in business management, accounting and finance, economics, banking, and related fields
- Zero, or no years of experience required
- Candidates with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2
- Good communication skills; fluency in reading, writing, and speaking in both English and Amharic
- Good working knowledge of computer programmes including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
