1. Purpose of the Position

 To assist in achieving the company’s Strategic Objectives by Maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and optimizing all facilities, equipment and Machinery, Increasing the efficiency, reducing Maintenance Downtime and Maintenance Cost by supervising and coaching Mechanics & Junior Mechanics under his/her shift/team and applying maintenance standard operation procedures by assisting Technic Supervisor and Technic Manager in the factory.

This position creates value for the Factory by performing preventative and corrective maintenance leading to increase up time and reliability, thus helping the company to meet the production and quality goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

· The senior Mechanic has to manage the smooth operation of the machines by overall maintenance    

· Replace or change parts as per advice by his immediate supervisor

· Inspect regularly all production machinery to ensure long life, safe and efficient operation.

· Follow up the stalk level of spare parts, tools, accessories and report to his boss

· Is the 1^st support of the production manager, in order to maintain in operational quality all the equipment

·To notify all the issues to the Production Manager/Plant Manager (manufacturing, technical, Safety).

·To respect the company rules and regulations

. Record the maintenance report on weekly base the progress and activity report( log book)

·To report on daily base all the spare parts issued (all defectives parts have to be given back to store)

·To clean his working area every time.

· Perform other related duties as may required

Education

Diploma or Level III and Above from Certified TVET college in General Mechanic,Mechanical Engineering,Industrial Engineering and similar fields of study.

Experience 

Minimum Four years of experience in manufacturing technologies especially in bolted water producing companies.
