The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. IRC has been working in Ethiopia since 1999 implementing programs aimed at improving the quality of lives and recovery of livelihoods of disaster-affected populations through promoting individual participation, strengthening institutions and emergency response.
Job Summary:
Emergency Health Officer is responsible for accurate implementation of Emergency Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic in Ethiopia at woreda level and will supervise targeted health facilities at the project sites. She/he will work closely with woreda health office to improve their participation and involvement in prevention, awareness creation and capacity building of woreda based government health staffs. This position will based at Modjo town and Ginnir town and directly report to the Health Manager.
Duty Station: Modjo and Ginnir Towns, Oromia
Contract Duration: until December 31, 2020 with possibility of extension.
