Job Description

  • Preparing or updating employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating
  • Explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employees
  • Ensuring new hire paperwork is completed and processed
  • Informing job applicants of job duties, responsibilities, benefits, schedules, working conditions, promotion opportunities, etc.
  • Addressing any employment relations issues, such as work complaints and harassment allegations
  • Processing all personnel action forms/letters and ensuring proper approval
  • Overseeing hiring process, which includes coordinating job posts, reviewing resumes, and performing reference checks
  • Implementing the organization’s recruiting strategy
  • Interviewing applicants
  • Administering pre-employment tests
  • Assisting with completing background investigations
  • Stay up-to-date and comply with changes in labor law

Requirements

  • Minimum of BA Degree in HRM, Management or other business related field of study.
  • Proven work experience as an HR Specialist or Officer
  • Solid understanding of labor law and payroll process
  • Familiarity with full cycle recruiting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Afaan Oromo and Amharic
  • Good problem-solving abilities
  • Team player
