We are hiring a Multi-Sectoral Program Manager to be based in Gedeo, SNNPR. The Multi-Sectoral Program Manager will be responsible for leading the program operations of a Mobile Medical Unit and shelter program targeting the West-Guji, Gelana Woreda. This includes providing leadership over the development of strategic and operational plans for the health program, in order to meet country office objectives, as well as leading the shelter team to ensure technical quality. The Multi-Sectoral Program Manager oversees project staff to ensure the effective implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of project activities in compliance with internal Samaritan’s Purse policies, external donor regulations, and international standards.

1. Experience working for humanitarian organizations is an advantage

2. Previous experience managing Multi-Sectoral programs (health and shelter programming preferred)

3. Proven ability to coordinate program staff, develop budgets, complete reporting and monitor/evaluate methodologies within the health sector

4. Exceptional communication skills

5. Ability to work with culturally diverse groups of people

6. Possesses strong critical thinking and problem solving skills

7. Must understand the full Program Management Cycle and GANTT chart development

8. Ability to be flexible and adaptable in all situations

9. Willingness to travel in and out of the field as needed

10. Strong English language writing and speaking skills, with ability to produce quality English reports

11. High level of integrity and stewardship of funds provided

Master’s degree in relevant educational field (either Engineering or Health related) from a certified, licensed college or university. Minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant field-based program management experience, and 3 years’ experience internationally or working in cross-culture, complex environments. Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies preferred. Project Management Professional Certification is advantage.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form.
