Ministry of Trade & Industry (MoTI) in collaboration with Deutsche Gesellschaft fÜr International Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) have designed a Young Professionals Program with a dual objective – primarily to groom future Trade & Industry Professionals whom would become leaders in the sectors and with a secondary objective of capacitating the Ministry, particularity enhancing its capability and facilitation roles on exports.

In light of this, under the Program MoTI is hiring Senior Analysts who would be part of teams carrying out Account/Firm Management; Coordination of Sub-Sector Linkage; Research & Studies; Implementation Support; Contract Registration & Administration; and Market Intelligence & Analytics works. 

Duration: one year renewable contract

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with minimum GPA of 3.0 and above (preferred areas of study: Business, Economics, Engineering, Marketing, Law, Communications);  
• Experience in similar role (3+ years) preferred: including consultancies for international organizations and consultancy firms, experience in economic research;
• Excellent analytical (both qualitative & quantitative), problem-solving, and data gathering skills; 
• Fluency in English and Amharic required with excellent oral and written communication skills; 
• Strong willingness to learn, and ability to be a real team player; 
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment, with an emphasis on high- performance, results and accountability;  

• A “can-do” attitude, expectations to be working long hours, and an ability to learn fast;

• Excellent command of Microsoft Office, such as Excel modeling, Power Point presentation etc.;
