Job Summary
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Executive Assistant provides executive support in a one-on-one working relationship. The Executive Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the Office of the CEO.
Key Functions
- Provide sophisticated calendar management for the CEO.
- Plans, coordinates and ensures the CEO's schedule is followed and respected.
- Communicates directly, and on behalf of the CEO with internal and external stakeholders.
- Works closely and effectively with the CEO to keep him/her well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately in order to keep the CEO updated.
- Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on assigned assignments to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
- Coordinates events and executive meetings
- Leads and coordinates travel itineraries and related meetings, which are sometimes international. Includes the coordination of calendars, travel plans, expense reimbursements, filing, etc.
- Screens incoming calls, making notes of essential information and prioritizing the calls to be returned by the CEO.
- Perform other relevant duties as requested.
Job Requirements
Competences
- Computer skill in MS-Word, Ms-Excel and outlook
- Typing skills, both in Amharic and English is essential
- Fluency in English and Amharic language
- Professional appearance
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proactive, energetic and team player personality.
Education Qualifications and Requirement
- BA in Management or related field of study.
Experience
- 3 year of work experience is required.
