Development Expertise Center (DEC) is a National Civil Society Organization (CSO) aspires to see all marginalized children properly fostered. The organization has three major program areas; Child Development, Gender and Life Skill Development; and Skills and Entrepreneurship Development. DEC works in three National Regional States of Amhara, Afar and Oromia and Addis Ababa City Administration. DEC would like to recruit on the following position:

Job Summary;

The Project Officer under the supervisions of the program coordinator will participates in the planning, coordination, implementations and reporting activities of the Project. She/he collaborate with the program coordinator, mobilizes resources, initiates and implements projects and ensure achievements to attain the organization mission and objectives.

 Roles and responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement events including workshops, awareness-raising campaigns, and experience sharing opportunities ;            
• Develops concept notes and/or fundable project proposals;
• Identifies funding sources, potential project/program partners and other stakeholders;
• Ensure DEC safeguarding policies are implemented at all levels in its project site;
• Institutionalize and mainstream inclusion and gender equality; 
•  Facilitating technical training and workshops related to project;
• Designing strategy to reach youths and girls in the society;
• Assure weather the project is well-Organized and runs smoothly;
• Develop quality and timely report ;
• Organize and facilitate field visit and work with communities 

Job Requirements

Education &work experience

• At least MSc/MA in social science, Health and other development fields
• At least 3 years direct CSO work experience

Additional Skill

• Good communication skill in team work and partnership management
• Good Experience in Working with youth and adolescence ;
• Good skill designing strategy to reach youths and girls in the society
