Job Description

Background

Plan International is an independent non-profit organization that advances children’s well-being and equality for girls. Plan International Ethiopia is looking for Intern-Logistics for Country Office who will be reporting to the Logistics Coordinator.

RESPONSIBILITES &Accountabilities 

1.     Asset Management-30%

  • Assist in recording of newly purchased assets in the country office asset database. 
  • Assist in updating the asset inventory database following the frequent asset transfer from staff to staff for different reasons. 
  • Assis in tagging of asset 
  • Assist in identifying the assets for disposal , Etc.

2.     Stock Management-40%

  • Assisting in updating the inventory transactions (receiving and issuing) on the stock ledger and bin card on daily basis.
  • Assisting in preparing receiving documents (GRN).
  • Assisting in preparing appropriate documents for issuing and dispatching. 
  • Assisting in periodic inventory taking. 
  • Assisting in inventory controlling and avoiding the risk of stock outs of critical supplies. 
  • Assisting in communicate the respective program to use their stocks, GIK available in our stock timely. Etc. 

3.     Providing assistance in warehouse operation record keeping and reporting -30%

  •  Assisting in compiling files of stock transactions like stock request, GRN, way bill, stock issue voucher, etc. 
  • Assisting in responding to inventory data request for different specific projects or donors. 
  • Assisting in periodic inventory reporting, Etc.

4.     Other tasks can be assigned by the supervisors as required

  • Performs additional duties as per the request of the line manager. 

5.      Compliance to Policies

  • Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Child Protection (CPP) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI) are fully embedded in accordance with the Principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring staff and associates are aware of and understand their responsibilities under these policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), their relevance to their area of work, and that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.

Job Requirements

Educational Experience:

  • B.A Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.  

 Experience: 

  • O -1 Year relevant work experience required. 

Skills specifics:

  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • MS-Office Package
