Aim of the Job

Ensuring that an organization’s accounting function operates efficiently & effectively.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Customers Invoice processing from SAGE system.
  • Accounts receivable reconciliation
  • Accounts Payable reconciliation
  • Debt collections
  • Deposits of all collections from customers
  • Petty cash administration and posting of the same to Sage system
  • VAT reconciliation
  • Filing and payments of Statutory deductions
  • Maintenance of Accounts department files
  • Any other duty given by Superiors

Key Result Areas

  • Book Keeping
  • Record maintenance
  • Reporting

Key Performance Indicators

  • Ensure that Customer invoices are sent on time with no delays
  • All reconciliations contain only current items and are finalized by the 10TH of the following month
  • Debtors and creditors listing to be ready by the 10TH day of the following month
  • Ensure that statutory deductions-are paid on or before Deadline date of every month
  • Ensure that VAT reconciliation is reconciled by 15Th of every month

Job Requirements

  • BA degree in Accounting from accredited University, with proven experience in accounting of Minimum 4 years
  • Able to work independently with Ethiopian Revenue, Banks, Employee pension Authority
  • Experience in FMCG is advantageous
