Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

The IT Systems and Support Admin is responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, and supporting the company's computer systems. They will assist in the design and installation of LANs, WANs, Internet and intranet systems, and network segments. The IT Systems and Support Admin will also assist in administering software systems to support company goals and changes, responding to help requests, manage projects that require vendor involvement, manage compliance issues that relate to use of the system, and working with IT staff to manage upgrades and modifications to the system. They also assist with administration of all network systems and applications. The IT Systems and Support Admin will primarily support Dynamics NAV ERP System and the network.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Work closely with the IT Head to accomplish strategic plans and objectives to maintain and improve network services to support all operations.
  • Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems. Ensure network connectivity throughout the company's LAN/WAN infrastructure
  • Perform administration of network and resource structure including but not limited to server support, Active Directory support, VMWare/VDI support, Firewall support, telecommunication systems support.
  • Assist in design and deploying networks. Ensure design of system allows all components to work together properly.
  • Make recommendations for future upgrades to network resources.
  • Analyze and isolate issues.
  • Evaluate and modify system performance.
  • Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security. Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users.
  • Serve as a point of contact between users and the software systems. Communicate with users for system feedback/improvement.
  • Initiate and/or assist with the development of operational efficiencies in the use of our systems, assisted by many sources including Production, Warehouse and other various operational areas.
  • Perform network address assignment, assign routing protocols and routing table configuration.
  • Maintain network functionality in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers and Cash Register Machine.
  • Administer servers, VPN gateways, intrusion detection systems, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, software deployment, security updates and patches.
  • Manage application of software updates and perform daily maintenance on current systems.
  • Work with managers and personnel to identify and articulate business requirements, translate to functional requirements for necessary fixes, changes, and/or enhancements, and work with the vendor to develop and implement these.
  • Document systems and support techniques, and cross train others within the IT department to ensure continuity of operations at all times.
  • provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
  • Assist with regulatory compliance projects and documentation as needed, including but not limited to vendor risk reviews, department risk assessments, PC and ERP operation, disaster recovery and business continuity plans, and IT audit and follow-up activities.
  • All other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology or any related

Experience

  • At least 3 to 5 years related experience
