Therefore, the company invites competent and qualified Internal/External candidates for the following position.

Job Title: Filtration Machine Operator

Duty Station: Mekanissa 

Reports to: Cellar Manager                                       

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Take raw materials requested and issued by the department for filtration work from raw material store into filtration room and place carefully in its appropriate place.
• Clean and sanitize all filtration machines, wine hoses and tanks with appropriate cleaning agent and make ready all requirements to start filtration operation.
• Fill the right quantity of filter aid powder or filter sheet to the filtration machine based on manual.
• Operate and control the machine and perform filtration operation.
• Perform filtration operation in quality based on plan as ordered by supervisor.
• During filtration operation take wine sample to laboratory to get assurance to its clarity and follow consistently its clarity with machine outlet sight glass.
• Always after filtration operation clean and sanitize all filtration machines, wine hoses and empty tanks with appropriate cleaning agent.
• Always clean the rooms turn off power and check all tank valves are safely close at the end of work.
• Report immediately to supervisor when machine breakage occurs, fix minor maintenance problems and work in team with technicians during maintenance.
• Use and keep safe the filtration machines, spare parts and other materials properly.
• Use PPE during filtration operation and wear uniform at work place neatly and properly.
• In addition to regular filtration operation as necessary or when there is no filtration operation may work or operate other related operations as ordered by supervisor.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education and Experience Required

• Diploma/TVET in Industrial Chemistry, General Mechanics, or related field of study
• Minimum of two years of related experience;
• Excellent Teamwork and Communication skills
• Physical Stamina and Strength
