The Managerial and Cost Accountant is expected to prepare decision support information as per the guidance of the Senior Managerial and Cost Accountant for senior management by developing financial modelling, business case analysis and financial reporting.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with Horra’s functions.
  • Develop draft financial reports for senior leadership and management to enable them to make sound decisions.
  • Gather, compile and analyze financial data to define performance plans for short and long-range Horra’s goals.
  • Perform financial analysis to make business recommendations and drive the financial performance of the business.
  • Plan and develop decision support systems that help managers in making business analysis and decisions.
  • Prepare and analyse monthly cost of goods sold, purchase price variance and manufacturing variance journal entries.  
  • Calculate and analyse the excess and obsolete inventory reserve and report to the management. 
  • Collect and analyse data on material and labor costs to evaluate efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct analysis by tracing costs of all the business and prepare a report for the management.

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience:

  • BA degree in Accounting & Finance or Accounting and IFRS training certificate with at least 4 years of demonstrated experience in manufacturing, real estate, or construction sector.
  • Analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skill, and proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and in Peachtree Accounting and/or ERP system are required.
