Job Description

Purpose of the job

  • Responsible for validation and posting all payment transactions.

Main duties & responsibilities

  •  Validate and record payment vouchers after verifying all supporting documents for legitimate payment.
  •  Ensure payment vouchers are approved in line with BGI policy before effecting payments.
  • Ensure that all payments are prepared in the name of the payee only.
  •  Ensure the cheque is handed over to the recipient against an official receipt or the recipient's signature on the bank payment voucher. If the beneficiary fails to collect on time, the cheque shall be kept in a safe box/place.
  • Make sure that the data encoding is done by taking care of the Dimensions.
  • Prepare transfer documents & effect the transfer payments.
  • Make a payment of Income Tax & Withholding Tax, pension contribution, and other taxation to the appropriate government body on time.
  • Weekly status reporting of the work completion for all the Vendor related areas.
  • Responsible for recording and validating CPV and PCPV Payments and post after confirmation by AP lead.
  • Keep financial documents with maximum care.
  • Never disclose any financial information without the approval of the department head or the person in charge.
  • Perform other duties when assigned

Job Requirements

  • Know how on (Microsoft Word, Excel)
  • Training & Practical experience in Accounting Software/ERP preferably AX Dynamics.
  • Basic reading, writing, and speaking English is mandatory

Expected Education and Experience

  • B.A. Degree in Accounting/Finance.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience as an Accountant in the manufacturing industry.
