Sheger Express Service PLC (Sheger) is a start-up company with professionals and experts aspiring to become the leading online marketplace and the operator of last-mile delivery in Ethiopia.
Sheger has two portfolios, (i) Dumbulo (www.dumbulo.com) the pioneer e-commerce platform established in 2017, designed to host a wide range of industrial, agricultural, and other products on its platform to serve all clients. (ii) ShegerEx (www.shegerex.com) is a delivery service portfolio combines both e-Delivery platform and last-mile delivery operations.
With this brief background, we are currently inviting candidates to apply for our Project Manager position.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Study and Benchmark best e-commerce and delivery operations/practices locally and globally
- Manage the company’s both e-commerce and delivery operations
- Assign and lead project team members
- Plan technical, operational, marketing and sales activities
- Onboard clients, product suppliers, and producers
- Research new opportunities and potentials to act upon
- Establish local and international networks
- Explore international opportunities for export
- Continuously up and run the technological activities
- Prepare proposals for funding and financing
- Produce periodic operational and performance reports to shareholders
Job Requirements
Required Competency and Skills
- Fluent English language
- Excellent interpersonal Communication Skills
- Digital Savvy and Passionate to offer digital solutions
- Understanding of e-commerce and delivery business is preferred
- Independent and able to work under pressure
- Creative, Innovative, and result-oriented
- Excellent Problem solving and decision making skills
