Purpose of the Job:
To support the successful implementation of the Bank’s strategy by implementing effective talent acquisition, motivation and retention strategies and programs.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the implementation of HR strategy, policies, procedures, processes and programs across the Bank.
- Collaborate with HR Specialist team to develop service level and customer interaction standards for all HR operational services.
- Monitor the provision of consistent HR operational service to the business by maintaining the enabling HR technologies.
- Oversee the efficient supply of competent employees to the Bank through the recruitment function.
- Administer the implementation of reward program as per the Bank’s policy and procedure.
- Lead and follow up the execution of results-oriented performance management system.
- Lead and manage the HR Operations team to provide a proactive, responsive and expert service across the Bank.
- Oversee adherence of code of conduct across the Bank level and take corrective measures when required.
- Partner with the HR Specialist team to lead continuous process improvement efforts related to operational services.
- Oversee the relationships with vendors to ensure that the Bank is receiving cost effective HR solutions and that expected SLA’s are being delivered.
- Monitor the management of employees from outsourcing agencies and maintain good relationship with Agencies.
- Manage the development and implementation of employee relations programmes.
- Continually monitor HR trends in the Bank and identify initiatives to mitigate risk areas.
- Manage regulatory compliance and reporting processes and activities relating to HR programs.
Generic Duties of the Position:
- Develop and implement the Department’s strategic and operational plans and objectives.
- Develop, approve and monitor the Department’s budgets.
- Identify human resources requirements of the Department and develop plan for meeting the requirements.
- Lead the development, implementation and review of departmental policies and procedures.
- Review, approve and submit Departmental reports to relevant organs.
- Support the development of subordinates through periodic performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring, ongoing performance dialogue and feedback.
- Manage disciplinary concerns of the Department’s staff.
- Represent the Bank in external relationships related with the Department.
- Participate in group decision making processes by forming part of different groups/ committees.
Job Requirements
Education
Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Management or related fields
Experience
- Six (6) years and eight (8) years of relevant Banking Experience for Masters and Bachelor
- Of which (3) and (4) years of Banking Experience in supervisory positions
