Job Description

Arts Media Production SC (Arts) is looking for a Technology Lead to be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of its technology based systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines. The successful candidate will have proven professional experience and a detailed knowledge of the Media Industry's best practice processes and will make sure that all systems are running efficiently and all policies are adhered to.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services
  • Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure
  • Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes
  • Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs
  • Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT
  • Controlling and evaluating IT and electronic data operations
  • Manage information technology and computer systems
  • Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
  • Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance
  • Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
  • Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
  • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
  • Audit systems and assess their outcomes
  • Preserve assets, information security and control structures
  • Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness

Job Requirements

Skills and Qualifications / Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience working in IT operations
  • Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies
  • Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize
  • Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices
  • Proven working experience as an IT Manager or relevant experience
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
  • Expertise in data centre management and data governance
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
  • Ability to manage personnel

  • Communication skills - ability to communicate the technology strategy to the engineering team, investors, and key stakeholders.
  • Strategic planning of technological resources - is expected to research and create strategies, improve an IT infrastructure and finetune an engineering team efforts to align with business priorities
  • Project management – overseeing the flow of work, design stable processes using best practices and methodologies.
  • Operational excellence - optimize operations by enabling agility, security, and reliance within ecosystems. Developing an operating model needed to bridge business and technology strategy.
  • Sense of entrepreneurship - this role is critically important for delivering a competitive advantage by choosing the right technology that will engage customers. 
  • Mentorship and coaching - foster corporate culture by inspiring a technology team to grow and develop by being actively involved in feedback and retention of team members.
  • Future anticipation - As an avid learner, continually research trends in the IT industry, including innovative technologies and advises on the impacts of this technology in the long run.
