Remuneration and Benefits:
- Starting gross salary 30,614 .00 ETB
- Medical cover: as per the organization policy
- hardship allowance 25% of salary with maximum amount of Birr 5,000

MSF-Holland in Ethiopia currently operates in four projects (North Gonder, Abdurafi project, in Somali region- Wardher project, in Gambella region; Kule and Terkidi project with diversified workforce..
Main Purpose/Job Summary :- Perform counseling and/or education sessions to patients, following different medical and mental health MSF protocols and procedures, in order to improve their pychosocial condition.
Accountabilities:
- In collaboration with the Project Coordinator and the Logistics Coordinator, planning, establishing and reviewing the activities for his area of logistics technical activity including its annual budget, in order to identify and give a response to the needs of the mission and the targeted population.
- Monitoring and ensuring the implementation in the project of his/her technical activity ensuring compliance to MSF standards, protocols and procedures, and reporting to the Project Coordinator on the development of the ongoing programmes. This can include one or more of the following activities:
- Electricity: Ensuring the correct installations, maintenance and monitoring of the electrical equipment and set up
- Construction: Ensuring the correct implementation, maintenance and monitoring of the construction/rehabilitation projects in the mission
- WHS: Ensuring the correct implementation and monitoring of the water, sanitation and hygiene activities
- Biomed: Ensuring good functioning and proper maintenance and monitoring of the biomed equipment\
- Workshop/Mechanic: Ensuring good functioning of the vehicle fleet and other engines
- Fleet: Guaranteeing the adequacy of means for fleet and motorized equipment management
- Any other technical logistics activity
- In collaboration with the Project Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator and the HR Coordinator, participating in the planning and implementation of HR associated processes (recruitment, training, briefing/debriefing, evaluation, detection of potential, development and communication) of the staff under his/her responsibility in order to ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required to correctly perform all logistics activities pertaining to his area
- Ensuring technical support for his area of activity and provides coaching to logistics staff under his/her responsibility.

Mission specific Accountabilities:-
Technical Management:
- Responsible and monitoring the implementation of technical activities in the project (construction, transport of goods and staff, communications, water and sanitation, vehicles and engines, equipment/installation and infrastructures, communications, etc.)
- Ensuring compliance of MSF standards, protocols and procedures, and reporting to the Project Coordinator, Base Responsible or Logco on the development of the ongoing programs.
- Ensuring technical reference for all logistics/technical issues in the project and providing coaching to logistics staff under his/her responsibility. Ensuring all staff in the Project is properly briefed about use of communication tools (handsets, HF/VHF, etc.).
- In collaboration with Tech Activity supervisor and Lab supervisor, responsible for BIOmed equipment, In collaboration with MTL and Mission Biomed specialist
Logistics Administration:
- Knowledge and understanding of the administrative modules of MSF’s reporting system and the ability to evaluate the resulting data
- Knowledge and understanding of the administrative components of MSF’s logistic administration tools
Security and Safety:
- Ability to perform security tasks delegated to logistics on project level, e.g. contribution towards local security plan, security briefings, security monitoring, drills etc.
- Ability to train project staff in aspects of security and safety ( context, risk evaluation, standard procedures, contingency plans, incident reporting and analysis)
- Ability to define procedural aspects related to security and safety in a project, including the implementation of the required tools and procedures
Reporting:
- Compile monthly logistic reports together with the Supply Activity Manager supervisor and send it to the Logistic coordinator and Project coordinator
Provide relevant logistic information to the LogCo, and Dep. Logco Tech.
Job Requirements
Essential secondary education and technical diploma or technical university degree, preferably as an engineer
Essential at least two years of working experience in logistics related activities.
Desirable previous experience with MSF or other NGOs, and working experience in deve-loping countries
Mission language essential; local language desirable
