Job Description

Purpose:

Under the supervision of the EHS Manager, assists the overall planning, development and implementation of Environment, Health and Safety initiatives. Conducts incident investigation and root cause analysis; risk assessment and proposes operational controls; influences safety culture at all times; executes programs to ensure regulatory compliance obligations are fulfilled and that environmental risks are managed. 

Main Areas of Responsibility:

•  Assists in planning, directing and controlling the company's EHS activities; follow up the implementation of EHS policies and procedures in LOCs;
• Assist in the implementation of risk assessment and proposes operational controls ,conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis and action plan formulation;
• Ensure inspections by regulatory agencies are coordinated and shortcomings minimized and corrected, maintain all logs and documentation associated with permits and regulatory requirements; assist in the control of legal requirements (licenses, reports);
• Assess and Identify safety and environmental hazards and report with remedial proposal; implement waste management programs; Follow up emission, water, waste and energy indicators and prepare a monthly site report. 
• Set minimum programs and procedures in line with EHS standards; Develop emergency response plan, produce KPI action plan and performance reports;
• Provides hands-on technical EHS assistance and first line supervision of personnel for day-to-day activities; Identifies issues and recommends feasible solutions regarding operations, services and/or personnel; provides EHS Manager input regarding annual performance evaluations.
• In alignment with EHS manager with regard to training material, scheduling and resources, provides training sessions for all employees as required under local regulations and/or company policies; develops informational and educational materials for training and presentation.

• Manage various tasks and projects as they arise and upon Manager’s request

Job Requirements

Education:

• BA/BSc/MA/MSc/MBA degree in occupational health & science, Environmental health Science, Environmental Science Environmental Engineering or related field

Work Experience:

• 4/2 years’ service in safety, environment or health 

Knowledge:

• Intermediate English (Oral & written), MS Office -Confident User
• Knowledge of Collective Labor Agreement, Internal Regulations & safety policies of the company , Practical environmental and safety related experience in manufacturing enterprises
