Background

Zerihun Associates is an international development consultancy and research firm specializing in impact evaluations. The firm's major intervention areas include process evaluation, cost-effectiveness analysis, household and enterprise survey data collection, electronic survey designs, data quality management, and data analysis and reporting.

Zerihun Associates is looking for translators in different local languages to be included in the company translator's roaster. So that, qualified individuals provide the translation services to Zerihun Associates when needed. 

Responsibilities of the translator include:

• Translating English documents into Amharic, Tigrigna, Afaan Oromoo, Somali, Afaraf, Nuer, Anyuak, Berta, and any SNNPR language. 
• Make sure that the translation is contextualized in the local language
• Ensure that translations are true to the original meaning 
• Provide accurate translations of texts.
• Deliver the translated documents in the given time period

Job Requirements

Qualification:

• A minimum of First degree in language and literature or any other related fields is required.
• The ability to use the English language efficiently is highly required.
• The Applicant should have fluent language skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) in the following local languages; Amharic, Tigrigna, Afaan Oromoo, Somali, Afaraf, Nuer, Anyuak, Berta, and any SNNPR language. 
• Should attach at least one testimony with their CV from their previous work. 

Experience:

•  Must have five or more years of experience in Translation.
